It's interesting to see
so many Bissons and learn history of the name. My father is Brian Bisson, and his father was Julian Bisson. My gret grandfather was Thomas Bisson. As far as I know he was born in Quebec and moved to the Penetangueshine-Midland area of Ontario, I am guessing circa 1930. The majority of my Bisson relatives, including my parents reside in the Toronto area, though I do not personally know many. I don't know much else. |

Great web site, is there anybody
out there with family links from Guernsey? We have 3 kids, Rene, Andre
and Gina. Rene is 32 and a chef on the Queen Mary 2, Andre (2 is an
architect in Guernsey (aundyb@hotmail.com), Gina (25), a graduate in
Fine Arts, is travelling in Australia at the moment. We (Denise and me)
have been in North Cyprus for 1 year now and find it totally
fascinating. Previously we were in Guernsey for most of our married
life (37 years!), now retired and enjoying the good life. |

I married a Bisson, also goes back to Gervais, there must be hundreds of Bisson's in Berlin NH. The own the sugar house on Cates Hill in Berlin, the Bisson's dairy, Bisson tire. etc......Go to Berlin NH for more Bisson information |

hi there, I am laura bisson and i am 19 years old. i go to school in st. paul minnesota, but i was born in omaha nebraska. my father is bruce bisson, born in may of 1955 in chicago. his father, my grandpa, william david (bill) bisson was born and raised in chicago, moved to omaha after the war, and died in 1989. william david had a sister named dessa, and a brother named paul. and Francis married a woman named cosette. my great-gradfathers name was Francis i believe, he was some sort of special radio announcer in chicago. his father was camille bisson, and camille had brother's with crazy names like hyacinth. all hailed from the isle of jersey. many believed to have settled in henderson, minnesota.....some people pronounce it BEEson, while we say it BIH-sawn, with a short I and accent on the last syllable. let me know if this rings a bell to anyone! |

I was searching the Bisson family and came across this webpage, i believe i'm on the other side of the family tree. I'm 20 my father Jean-Paul Bisson was born in Mclennon AB, Canada in 1949, my grndfather was named Aime Bisson from Mclennon Ab, Canada. I have been told by my elders that about 1620's to 1650's my realatives came from france to Quebec and have since spread out to where i am now in central B.C. Canada. If anyone might know more that could help me, i'm just fascinated and pround of my heritage and would love to know how it all happened, please feel free to email me bisson_gold@hotmail.com Thank you family. |

We are quite a gang of Bisson's in Saskatchewan & Manitoba today. I believe my great grandfather came from Ham Nord,Quebec to northern Saskatchewan in the late 1880's. He was joined by two of his brothers who settled in Dunrea, Manitoba and La Broquerie, Manitoba. Still working on the family tree. |
